Fr Brendan Thomas OSB is a monk of Belmont Abbey, England where he is currently Prior and Novice Master. He has been the Director of the Programme since its start in 2002.
Recent courses have brought together some of the best teachers from the monastic world, and some of its best teachers. While the exact teaching content might vary from year to year regular contributors include.
Sr Aquinata Böckmann OSB from Rome, Abbot Bernardo Bonowitz OCSO from Brazil, Fr Michael Casey OCSO from Australia, Br Colmán Ö Clabaigh OSB from Ireland, Sr Maureen Cusick NDS from Israel, Fr Columba Stewart OSB, Fr Jeremy Driscoll OSB and Abbot Gregory Polon OSB from the US, and Sr Josephine Mary Miller from Great Britain.
Visiting teachers from around the world share their knowledge and religous experience
Fr Javier Aparicio the Associate Director, is General Procurator of the Sankt Ottilien Congregation. Before that he was Prior of the community of Rabanal del Camino in the north of Spain and involved in formation work for the Ottiliens. He is a former participant of MFP and is joining the staff from 2019.
Fr Mark Butlin OSB, was until 2022 the Associate Director is a monk of Ampleforth Abbey, England. Previouly he ran the Recyclage (Renewal) Programme at Sant’ Anselmo. He was at the forefront of the conception of the Program.
